Eg henta nylig ein bil i England og så kom eg over ein artikkel i det engelske bladet Connected der forrige eiger av bilen var nevnt. Eg skjønnte ikkje uttrykket som var brukt og slengte inn eit spørsmål på forum-sidene til MMA (Mopar Muscle Association UK). Siterer her fra tråden:

I read this old Connected Magazine #28 which says "Mr XX XXXXX looked like the Cheshire cat cruising in the XXX". For privacy care I don't spell out any name of person or car, but I am wondering what this sentence says. As a foreign member I've never heard of "the Cheshire cat", but I recently bought the car mentioned in the article and of course I am wondering if I look the same.

Og to kjappe svar i løpet av bare eit kvarter;
1. The "Cheshire Cat" was a character from the "Alice in Wonderland" story....he was known for his permanent grin, just like anyone really while driving a Mopar!
2. The Cheshire cat is from a fairy tale called Alice in Wonderland, he was famous for having a big grin on his face all the time ! so yes, I guess you look just like him

De som har sett Disney's Alice i eventyland kjenner nok til "the Cheshire Cat". Jeg har også hørt den omtalt som "filurkatten".

I tillegg til kjempegliset, er jo denne katta (som alt annet i den filmen) kjent som spik, spenna gæærn. Men det kan vel også passe på oss med Mopars??
