PHILADELPHIA ? This week, concerns mounted over Alec Bohm and the Phillies? middle lineup, as the third baseman and cleanup hitter continued to battle through early-season offensive woes.
Bohm has leaned on teammates and past experiences while trying to break out of a slump that has left the Phillies ranking low in run production. The club entered 2026 expecting strong contributions from Bohm and Bryson Stott in key spots, but inconsistent hitting has been a surprise.
The Phillies showed offensive life in their 13-7 win over the Cubs on April 13 but have struggled to sustain momentum across the series.
