Er det noen som kan anbefale noen friske topper og kam til oppbygging av en '71 340-motor? Ønsker litt mer power i small-blocken.
Hvem bør man evt. handle hos?

"Hello Runar,

To get 400 h.p. from a 340 is not too hard. The easy way is to use a 4” stroke crank and the Edelbrock heads. Then for a street car I would use a hydraulic cam (probably a Comp Cam X-Treme Energy).

I checked a few things and a .030 over 340 with ported 2.02/1.60 steel heads and a Comp 20-224-4 cam will yield 413 h.p. @ 6000 rpm.

You can re use the Torqer intake and the current headers if you would like. You will have to get the motor to at least 9.5 – 10.0 to 1 compression. A set of Speed Pro Flat top forged pistons will do the trick.

Tror ikke du trenger så stroke den for å få 400 hester med Edelbrock toppene. Edelbrock sin RPM pakke (RPM topper, RPM Innsug, RPM hyd. kam) skal gi 417 hester i en 340 med 10.0:1 komp.

Nei, hadde ikke tenkt å kjøpe strokerkit, men vi får se når vi åpner opp hvordan tilstanden er.
