As soon as you've paid the 25% tax you can pick it up. You may be charged for the storage if you don't, so go ahead! They may confiscate the UK plates in the customs, so don't mention anything about them if they're not already removed (and you want to keep them as souvenir or part of the car's history). If the car is road ready, you better drive it home if you'd like. Then you'll have to buy temporarily plates through any Statens Vegvesen Trafikkstasjon. You can have them for a few days following and the cost is NOK 225/day and includes necessary insurance. Information here (get someone to help you translate): http://www.vegvesen.no/Kjoretoy/Kjop+og+salg/Proveskilt
Remember to bring the car's VIN when you buy the plates since your car has never been registered in this country before. Good luck! Very Happy

Ha ha, thanks for the pics. Well I collected the Charger this afternoon and drove it back to Stavanger, 6 hours it took me.

Do you know if the local Port lads had been driving the Charger around? Or revving the engine? As soon as I drove away from the Doc's I noticed white steam coming from the Engine bay so I pulled over and had a look. The Rubber hose that goes from the Inlet Manifold to the radiator had been sliced through on the underside. There is about 5-10mm gap between that Hose and the Fan Blades but I cant see whatelse could have caused the slicking on the Hose, it was cut right through too. I lose 6ltr's of Coolant. I was very close to killing the engine. Anyweay, I cut the bad bit off and there was enough hose to re-attatch it back on.

After that scare I had a really great drive home. The Charger handles really, really well. Much better than anyother A Body I have owned before. I'm guessing its because it's been looked after much better than any other mopar i've owned before, ha ha. The 318 is really punchy too as its had quite a few tweeks. 30th over, Hi-Com Pistons, Mopar 265 Cam, etc etc.

I'm not sure how many meet's I'll make this year but I'll be at the one in Sandenes on the 1st of May. If your going to come and say hi!

Good news you made it home safely in your new classic mopar! Glad to hear there were no other damage due to the broken hose. Smile

Cheers Røar!

Does anyone know if side Exit Exhausts will pass the EU control? The Charger has them exiting just before the rear Tyres.

Well, I have the Charger in Norway now so I thought I'd post a few Piccie's up and some spec too.

Mike was really meticulous with the maintenance and up keep of the Charger and I hope this pictures do it justice.

The 318 has been rebuilt at some point 30th over (I think) and its now 328ci. It was rebuilt with Hi Comp Pistons, the Crank was Ballenced, the heads where Ported and Polished too.

Weiand Intake, 600 Holley, Pacermaker Extractors (Headers) going into Cherry Bombs. Mopar 268 Camshaft. MSD Ignition.

The 904 has had a Shift Kit fitted too.

The front has been lowered a bit and has Spax Adjustable Shocks at the front too.

I think the interior has been re trimmed at some point as the Carpets look like new. As do the Seats and Door Cards. Even the Boot has been fully lined with Carpet to a high standard.
